Termite Inspection

Conducted by a NJ licensed pest Control Applicator - This interior and exterior inspection covers subterranean termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees and powder post beetles. Commonly called a Termite Report this certification actually looks for all types of wood destroying insects, including Wood Boring Beetles, Carpenter Ants, Carpenter Bees, and Powder Post Beetles.
Mortgage companies require this certification prior to closing.

Each Empire inspector is a licensed pesticide applicator by the State of New Jersey. Our inspectors do not treat for any wood destroying insects as we believe that would be a conflict of interest. The report is issued on the 2-page NPMA-33 form, (National Pest Management Association) which is required by your mortgage company.

Even if you are not getting a mortgage, for your own peace of mind we recommend you obtain a Wood Destroying Insect Report prior to purchasing any property because this can help you to protect your investment. This is a very important consideration when going to purchase a new home in that most homeowner's insurance policies do not cover repairs from wood destroying insect damage.

Wood destroying insects are a common problem and damage can be minor and can sometimes be remediated for a reasonable cost. This needs to be determined on a case-by-case basis. In any case, it is helpful to have the most information possible so you can make an informed decision.
